Sesame Seeds Cookies

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup packed light-brown sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup sesame seeds, hulled and toasted

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line 4 cookie sheets with parchment papers.
  2. In a bowl, sift together flour, baking soda and salt.
  3. In the bowl of an electric mixer, fitted with the paddle attachment, add brown sugar and butter and beat on medium speed until light and fluffy.
  4. Add egg and vanilla extract and beat until well combined.
  5. Add flour mixture and beat until just combined.
  6. Add sesame seeds and beat until combined.
  7. With a tablespoon, place mixture onto prepared cookie sheets about 2-inch apart.
  8. Bake for about 6-8 minutes.
  9. Remove from the oven and keep onto wire racks to cool in pans for about 5 minutes.
  10. Carefully, invert the cookies onto wire racks to cool completely before serving.
